The greatest challenge was maximising space utilisation. Due to the multiple trades working on the ground and the need to also work on the roof at the same time, a solution was required to allow for both areas to be workable at the same time in a safe manner.
To ensure the project ran on time and safely a suspended deck system was constructed. The suspended deck system was supported from the roof beams to allow trades sufficient space to conduct work to the ceiling for the installation of the ducting and roof.
“The system allowed us to have other subtrades carry out work below which would not have been possible if scaffold or manlift access had been used for the overhead work, in turn this was key to the projects scheduling and allowed us to meet our handover deadline.
The system was a complete success and delivered all we could have asked for.”
